Plans for 2025

I think there is nothing fundamentally wrong with having plans for 2025. I like having plans. Even if I reject them from time to time, I like to have clearly formulated goals and strategies and plans to achieve them.

This year it will be very much about finding new cooperation partners for my work as a freediving instructor. In addition to Dahab, I would also like to share my second passion with people elsewhere in the future, das Freediven vermitteln.

Winter/spring 2025

After years in Dahab or after years of “summer in Berlin” and “winter in Dahab”, I have made slightly different plans for 2025. After stays in China (2005/2006), India (2013 and 2015) and Japan (2018), I am drawn again to Asia, but this time to the southeast. I will start my little trip in Thailand in mid-January. The itinerary takes you via Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Koh Tao, Koh Chang and Koh Lanta. After a very busy 2024, this part of my stay is primarily aimed at relaxing and satisfying my general desire to travel. After the Thailand part I should go to Singapore because I just want to see this city. From there we will then continue to Malaysia. On the small island of Tioman, two freedivers have a diving school, with which I can meet if necessary. will cooperate. I will do trial work there in March and possibly April and May too. If I don't like it there, I can imagine moving on. Indonesia or the Philippines are attractive alternatives where freediving is becoming increasingly popular.

Summer 2025

I will spend the summer in Berlin again. I miss my family, apartment, my yoga students, my familiar surroundings and the city comforts too much. It will be again yoga classes on the Weberwiese and certainly also many substitute hours at yogatribe in Berlin-Mitte.

Fall/Winter 2025

From October I will be staying in Dahab again. For some time now I have had my own freediving students who, like me, would like to return to Dahab to enjoy the advantages of the diving location. In addition, I work together with the Dahab Freedivers and Freedive 'N' Egypt.

Plans for 2025 at a glance:

• Mid-January to end of May: Travel through Southeast Asia (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, possibly Indonesia, Philippines)
• June to October: Summer in Berlin
• October to January: Dahab

We'll see what happens with these plans for 2025.
